Prof. Bahgat Sammakia, SUNY Prof, expert in electronics packaging & energy-smart systems.
Professor Bahgat Sammakia is a SUNY Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Binghamton University, where he also serves as Founding Director of the New York State Center of Excellence in Small Scale Systems Integration and Packaging (S3IP) and Director of the NSF I/UCRC for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems (ES2). His research spans data center energy optimization, electronics packaging, flexible electronics, and thermal management of devices and systems. A Fellow of ASME, IEEE, and the National Academy of Inventors, he has received numerous honors, including the ITherm Achievement Award (2010) and ASME Heat Transfer Memorial Award (2020).
