Professor Srinivasan Chandrasekar is a faculty member at Purdue University's Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering and holds a courtesy appointment in Materials Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1985. His research encompasses manufacturing processes, materials processing, microsystems technology, and nanostructured materials. Professor Chandrasekar has been recognized with the 2019 Milton C. Shaw Manufacturing Research Medal from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his contributions to manufacturing research.
