
Prof. Shanthi Johnson, VP Univ of Windsor, researcher in aging, falls & immigrant health.
Professor Shanthi Johnson is Vice-President, Research and Innovation at the University of Windsor, where she leads efforts to strengthen interdisciplinary research, expand partnerships, and support student and community engagement. An internationally recognized researcher in aging and health, her work focuses on falls and injury prevention, aging in rural communities, and social isolation among immigrant and refugee seniors. Previously, she served as Professor and Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. Dr. Johnson holds a PhD from the University of Western Ontario and advanced degrees in nutrition and administration from India and Canada.
