Dr. Nitish V. Thakor is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Neurology, and Electrical & Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He directs the Laboratory for Neuroengineering and the NIH Training Grant on Neuroengineering. His research focuses on neural signal processing, brain-machine interfaces, neuroprosthetics, and micro/nano-scale biomedical devices. Dr. Thakor has authored over 395 peer-reviewed articles, holds 16 patents, and co-founded three companies. He is a Fellow of IEEE, AIMBE, and IFMBE, and has served as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering.
