Professor Clive Roberts is the Executive Dean of Science at Durham University, responsible for driving the Faculty’s strategic development, research excellence, and global partnerships. He joined Durham in 2024 from the University of Birmingham, where he was Director of the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE), Head of the School of Engineering, and founder of the UK Railway Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN). With over 25 years in higher education, his research spans sensing, data analytics, complex systems simulation, control, sustainability, AI, and cybersecurity. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
