Dr. T. Pradeep, IITM Chem Prof, nanoscience pioneer, affordable clean water innovator.
Dr. Thalappil Pradeep is an Institute Professor and Deepak Parekh Chair Professor of Chemistry at IIT Madras. A pioneer in nanoscience, he has authored over 550 scientific papers, holds more than 100 patents, and developed affordable water purification technologies that serve over a million people daily. He is the founder of the International Centre for Clean Water at IITM Research Park. His many accolades include the Padma Shri, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, Nikkei Asia Prize, TWAS Prize, Eni Award, and election to several prestigious national and international science academies
